This original piece is made from canvas, clay, acrylic paint and spray.

I used dark red and black for the surface which is made of air-dry clay to look like the corner of a book cover. I wanted the texture to feel real, heavy, almost like leather or an old page that has lived through many stories. Behind that “page” I painted Arabic calligraphy that reads:
حين لمست إسمك تعلمت أن أكون وطناً “When I touched your name, I learned how to become a homeland.”

In the lower corner بلا حدود, I painted these words using glow-in-the-dark paint - when dark they glow softly.

This painting is about that moment of realization when you turn the page and understand that home can exist with a person. Without limits.
